Equipping a community center with gaming monitors and displays: e-sport and inclusion
Social support structures are innovating by integrating esports and virtual worlds as inclusion tools. These hybrid spaces combine integration support, digital skills training, and fun activities to encourage the engagement of audiences far removed from traditional platforms. The monitor equipment must meet this dual requirement: gaming performance and informative displays.
The deployment is based on two complementary types of equipment. On the one hand, a fleet of 240Hz gaming monitors for workstations dedicated to e-sports and metaverse activities, allowing users to participate in competitions, virtual worlds, or digital creation workshops. On the other hand, LFD monitors in the reception and communal areas to broadcast information, educational content, and group activities.
The educational approach is essential: e-sports becomes a pretext for developing soft skills (teamwork, communication, frustration management), while the metaverse opens up socialization opportunities for audiences who are sometimes withdrawn. Screens must be thought of as mediation tools, not simply passive consumption.
The benefits observed in these structures are significant: improved user attendance, creation of supportive communities, discovery of professional vocations (animation, streaming, development), and improvement of transversal digital skills. The material investment becomes a catalyst for an innovative social project.
Interviews and case studies with customers who have adopted our products
Palette Co., Ltd.
Palette Co., Ltd. was established in October 2013.
It has contributed to the social inclusion of people with disabilities and potential workers by operating branches for people with mental and developmental disabilities and providing them with support for career transition. The company has opened a new life skills training center, "eSTUDIO Omiya Office," in Omiya, Saitama City.
She puts her experience to work for people who want to organize their lives through e-sports and the metaverse.

Q. Tell us about the all-new eSTUDIO Omiya.
(Mr. Ishizuka) Until now, our company has offered satellite offices (offices that companies can use to hire people with disabilities) and career transition support services (support for improving knowledge and skills needed for employment) in Mito and Tsuchiura, Ibaraki Prefecture. eSTUDIO Omiya offers independent living support (life skills training). The goal of this support is to increase opportunities for outings, communication, and to regulate the pace of life.

Q. Why did you include esports in your “support for independence” program?
(Mr. Ishizuka) Many people who stay indoors and don't go out also play video games, so I thought it would be a good way to communicate, but I was worried about how to actually integrate it and what content to use. Then one day, I met Mr. Kato, the president of ePARA Inc., and we talked about starting a business together.
(Mr. Kato) Our company, ePARA Inc., uses esports to help people with disabilities participate in society in authentic and fulfilling ways.
We felt that by combining our experience in esports and the metaverse with the assisted living center run by Palette, we could create a synergy.
Q. How was the equipment for eSTUDIO Omiya selected?
(Mr. Ishizuka) We chose game consoles, gaming PCs, and monitors with the guidance of ePARA, which has extensive experience.
In addition to the dedicated gaming monitor, we also installed a large 65-inch monitor for "Supporting Independence" lectures and for watching games together.
(Mr. Kato) We were planning to open eSTUDIO Omiya in April 2023, and at that time, ePARA was also in discussions with JAPANNEXT for a future collaboration. We had used it at one of our events and found it very effective; so we decided to introduce it to them.

Q: What do you think about it after actually implementing it?
(Mr. Ishizuka) The image quality is excellent and has been well received by users. Playing at home in such a high-performance environment is difficult, and
Even getting to an assisted living facility can be difficult, so I think this is a great opportunity.
Visitors are often surprised by the size of the screen.

Q. Do you think you will consider JAPANNEXT products in the future?
(Mr. Ishizuka) I would like to extend the same concept to other places, such as Tokyo, and so I would like to consult with you again.
Q. Who can use this facility?
(Mr. Ishizuka) If you have a disability welfare certificate, you can use this service. The monthly fee is 9,300 yen, and you can use it as many times as you like.
Under certain conditions, such as your previous year's income, you can use it for free. Don't hesitate to contact us.
