Equipping an esports and design school: 240Hz gaming monitors and professional monitors
Educational institutions are now integrating esports and graphic design curricula to meet new career opportunities. Equipping these courses requires a fleet of monitors that meet two distinct technical requirements: extreme fluidity for competitive gaming and colorimetric precision for design. The challenge: deploying professional solutions on a classroom scale.
For esports , 24" 240Hz monitors are the educational standard, allowing students to train in conditions close to competition. The 24" size is ideal for gaming: it offers a comprehensive view without excessive head movement, crucial for FPS and MOBA games. For design courses, 23.8" IPS monitors with 97% sRGB coverage guarantee the color accuracy necessary for professional graphic work.
Managing a heterogeneous fleet within the same establishment requires logistical planning: dedicated rooms for each discipline, flexibility for mixed courses (game design, streaming), optimized ergonomics (VESA mounts, articulated arms), and maintenance facilitated by the homogeneity of references within each typology.
The return on investment is measured by the attractiveness of the training programs, the employability of graduates, and partnerships with industry players (equipment manufacturers, publishers, esports organizations). A well-equipped institution becomes a leader and can organize events, bootcamps, and competitions that enhance its visibility.

Q. Tell us about the project that led you to introduce JAPANNEXT monitors.
At the Bantan Game Academy branch in Nagoya, we will be expanding our campus and opening a new esports class in April 2023. At the same time, we will also be replacing the monitors in the design course classrooms, and so we started considering the purchase of gaming monitors and LCD monitors for design around October 2022.
Q. Why did you choose a 24-inch 240Hz gaming monitor and a 23.8-inch Full HD monitor ? (Why prioritize technical specifications over brand?)
Regarding gaming monitors, given that this is an esports course, I wanted a model with a 240Hz refresh rate.
LCD monitors intended for design courses, in addition to image quality, I wanted to ensure sufficient workspace on the tables, as students would be consulting reference materials and using graphics tablets. Therefore, I opted for a model with an elegant base. The product's aesthetics were also important to me. Since vocational schools receive many visitors and businesses, it's essential that the classrooms are welcoming from the moment they arrive; I therefore paid particular attention to this aspect of the design as well.

Q. How did you decide to introduce JAPANNEXT monitors?
We had already purchased gaming monitors and monitors for design classes at other schools. Based on this experience, we established a budget and requested quotes from several companies. Of course, we received other quotes, but JAPANNEXT 's products were particularly appealing in terms of cost, design, performance, aesthetics, and, of course, price.
Their responsiveness and flexibility in setting up stocks were also key factors.

Q. What was your impression of the interactions with distributors and manufacturers prior to implementation?
They were very quick to source the product and answer my questions, which allowed me to make a confident decision. I was also impressed by their ability to offer flexible support, especially considering they are a local manufacturer.
Q: What are your thoughts after implementing it?
Of course, many students in my eSports courses aspire to become professional gamers and are therefore very demanding when it comes to their equipment. Yet, they never complain and are fully satisfied with their equipment.
The slightest dissatisfaction regarding the performance of monitors and other equipment could discourage them from attending class; it is therefore essential to avoid any complaints.
The color reproduction of the screen is excellent in design courses, and students enjoy using them.
Although they often choose the room and monitor of their choice, I get the impression that many of them actually study in rooms equipped with JAPANNEXT monitors.

Q. Do you plan to use JAPANNEXT products in the future?
I think the school in Nagoya will likely expand in the future with new classrooms, and other schools will also need to replace their monitors. After installing this equipment, I found that even when buying from a distributor, customer service is very responsive; I will therefore definitely use their services again in the future.
In the unlikely event that the equipment becomes unusable, students won't have to wait too long, which could lead them to skip class. Therefore, I appreciate this.
The responsiveness of the service was greatly appreciated.
I would also like to consider using larger monitors in the classroom.
